Mindmapping

Week Five 17-21st August

Mindmapping of Group 7

Reflect on last week's lesson,we were using mindmapping to developing the ideas of a topic.

Group 7
( Phebe (me) , Jun Won, Ethan )

This time, we had to create the mindmapping of "How Education fits your Dream of a Happy Life."
Education roles as a very important thing in human's life. Here, our group wrote the advantages we found.
However, on a dream of a happy life, education also roles big part on it. High educated people will get many advantages in order to get a happy life. Those who graduated from a university will have a bigger change to get a well-paid job rather than the one graduated from high school.
Taking higher education also makes people have more experiences

Otherwise, my family support me to study abroad, and I really thankful for it. Study abroad expand the experiences I'll have. And here, I become more respectful and more independent.

Hey by the Beach

Reflect back, I joined Laskar NAFA Indonesia's special event last week end in East Coast.
Walked on the sand and saw the ocean was just a pretty scenery in this busy city. I've got inspired by the waves and all the surroundings here, which really helps me in the creative thinking process.
I'm sure I'll be back to this beach, and get more inspired.

ART JOG 2015 ; Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Week Four10-14th August

Art is an universal language as well as the best way to express emotion and feelings.
These photos was taken by me on an annual event, ARTJOG -8.Which held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
I visited this event with my cousin Nathania, we spent half of day there and felt edified and inspired by the works.
Since I visited ART JOG 8, my intuition on art was changing.
All of the work has their own uniqueness that change my perspective in seeing artworks.
What a breathtaking pieces of work that blown my mind.
This was a slow visit that I never forget.

Colors.
Different color, creates different meaning. These artworks have a strong message with colors. I always attracted with anything that has bright colors, it brings positive energy and add more excitement.
I also like to use various colors to express my emotion and telling message of my work.
In colors, the spirit of a work is always on it and never fading out.

'
This leaf museum has a special meaning to me. This little museum shows how dead leafs still valuable and somehow become a very interesting art installation. I don't usually care about various kind of leafs. They might be small, but when I saw this, I realized how big our God's creation are.

Sparks of Paper

What can you do with paper?
Colorful origamis arranged as a chandelier in the main dome. This artworks represent the power of shape, color, and paper itself. Never imagined that paper art would be this interesting.

Reflection of Colors

What can a jar be? Another brainstorming idea of jar I found in Chilis restaurant. The jars can reflect the light from the lamp, and spread more light to fill in the room.

***

Metal

Metal is an interesting media for artist to make an artwork. This metal looks like a fish, and can be a dancing pose of human. There's no rules to shape and build something with metal.

Red Wheels

We were on National Museum of Singapore. Red light being used by the artist to represent warm and intense mood. The artist reuse the wheels above us as the decoration. In order to bring the atmosphere of the activity in the past.
